PART A (Problem statement and research question -20%)

 

Each student shall prepare a 1000 word written report (exclusive of the cover & bibliography) on a chosen topic. The student shall identify and explain a suitable project management problem that warrants research. The student shall define the problem in the form of a research question that incorporates project management philosophies and principles. Each student is encouraged to consult the tutor regarding the suitability of the chosen topic during tutorials. Students are advised to list references as a bibliography after the end of the report.

 

PART B (Preliminary literature review -35%)

 

Each student shall prepare a 2000 word written report (exclusive of the cover, bibliography and appendices). The student shall draw upon part A work and review literature and critically evaluate/appraise literature. Students are advised to list references as a bibliography after the end of the report. Students must attach Part A as an appendix to the report.

 

PART C (Research Methodology -25%)

 

Each student shall prepare a 1000-1500 word written report (exclusive of the cover, bibliography and appendices). The student shall analyse and determine a research methodology that integrates research tools and methodologies in order to solve the problem identified in Part A. Each student is encouraged to consult the tutor regarding the suitability of the selected methods during tutorials. Students are also requested to provide a Gantt chart as part of the task to outline the timeline of the proposed research that will be conducted in PPMP20016. Students are advised to list references as a bibliography after the end of the report. Students must attach Part A & B as appendices to the report.
